Originally from Michigan, Steven Arthur George earned his bachelor’s degree in general business with a focus on finance. He began his career in Nashville, Tennessee, spending over five years in the financial sector specializing in business development, sales, and marketing.

In 2017, Steven ventured to Portugal to pursue his MBA, and by 2018, he entered the European cannabis industry. He joined Tilray, one of the world’s leading cannabis companies, where he held roles as Iberian Country Manager and European Alliance Manager. During his tenure, Steven played a pivotal role in securing the first ACM (marketing approval) for cannabis dried flower in Portugal and managed the first medical cannabis exports from Portugal to Europe and Israel.

In 2021, Steven transitioned to independent consulting, and decided to leverage his expertise to provide commercial strategy and business development support to the cannabis industry. Since then, he has worked with over a dozen clients, helping them navigate this rapidly evolving sector.

When he’s not working, Steven enjoys writing, traveling, and reconnecting with nature.
